New CHA Products

The new products from the winter Craft and Hobby show are starting to arrive. This past week we were delighted to open boxes from Cloud 9, Heidi Grace, Kimberly Poloson and Karen Foster. We have more orders in house including PULP albums and refills! Yes, you read that right PULP - we placed an order and expect it very soon.

Are you a subscriber to our email newsletters? If you are you, then you read that we are preparing to start a monthly scrapbook challenge. Each month we'll pick several hot products and put together a kit. Your challenge is to use the products in the kit to create a scrapbook layout, mini album or altered paper craft. Have you heard of glimmer mist? Maybe you have but haven't used it or weren't sure how to use it. This Tuesday, February 17th come to the store for a free demo of this amazing product. You'll be amazed at all the stuff you can do with a little spray or spritz!

Happenings this week

Here at Scrapbook Place we've decided to start the New Year off with a brand new look. As you come into the store over the next few weeks you will notice that we're making lots of changes. One of the changes you'll notice right away is a new fresh face. We're proud to announce that Renee M. has joined our team. We look forward to all she has to offer the store and you, our customers. She is a fabulous teacher, has a terrific personality and there's always a smile on her face.

This week we got in the Sincerely Yours collection from Flair Designs. It's a sophisticated line with rich hues of burgundy and brown. This collection is wonderful for elegant valentine cards or a layout featuring a date night out with your hubby. Also, don't forget that we got the complete Love Letters collection from Little Yellow Bicycle. The red, grey and black paper and embellishment line is hot hot hot and Pamela made the most awesome mini album. There were so many scraps from the album that Nina and Sandy have swooped in to make cards with the extras.

Speaking of change, we're offering this weekend (January 17-18, 2009) only, an unheard of special on Bazzill cardstock. For just $39.99, pick 100 sheets of your choice, yeah you read it correctly, 100 sheets of Bazzill Basics cardstock. What a great time to stock up or match cardstock to all that patterned paper you bought at the sale earlier this month. Gators win Championship

OK, so I'm sure every one's heard by now that the University of Florida football team beat the Oklahoma Sooners last night in the BCS title game. So how does this tie into scrapbooking? Well, we have several papers, embellishments and even an album featuring the Florida Gators. Highlight your memories of the big game, whether you were at the game or watching it on TV, into a scrapbook with these officially licensed products.

This week has been a whirlwind of activity. We are preparing for CHA Winter and still trying to make room for new product to come. We're livin life at the Pole

Today we finally received our order from Sassafras Lass order. It's a really cute and it features the north pole narwal, the abominable snowman, gingerbread men and lots of candy!! This collection is perfect for all your holiday favorites like watching classic Christmas movies, building gingerbread houses and holiday lights. Come in an check it out before Nina buys it all.

We also received the latest issue of Memory Makes magazine today and don't forget today is Double Punch Monday.

Give and Receive

The weekend is over and we survived our After Thanksgiving sale. We are still offering our paper sale aisle - 50% off and new papers are being added almost everyday. We also have a couple of tables with merchandise marked down 75% off. These specials are for a limited time as any remaining products are being donated to Joe Dimaggio Children's Hospital. For those of you that may have been out of town, we have come up with some other ways to save on your scrapbooking supplies this month. How would you like to get a 40% discount off one item just for giving a toy? We are going to be collecting toys to help support the Marines Toys for Tots Foundation this year. Here's how it works: bring a new unwrapped toy to the store and receive a 40% discount off one item that you purchase that day.

The December class calendar is now available in the store and it wil be available on the website later today. We haven't scheduled a Midnight crop this month but if we get enough interest, Nina volunteered to work it. If you are interested in cropping, the available dates would be December 13th or the 20th (both dates are Saturdays). Call the store with your preferable date today.

Have you seen these cute advent calendar boxes from Karen Foster? The vendor sold out of these and didn't have enough time to get a reorder. If you are looking for one, we have three left!! Get them before they're gone!

Looking for a fun and funky paper line to scrap your holiday memories? We are expecting the 'Life at the Pole' collection from Sassafras Lass any day. It's a winter collection dream come true!
Haven't done your scrapbook holiday cards yet? We have a solution for you... Bring in your family pictures and Lisa Orr of Scrapbook to Share will be here on Sunday, December 7th and she can assist you in turning your scrapbook page into your holiday card. Bring your address book along and you can start addressing envelopes right away. Lisa will have your cards ready by the next day. We'll have Show and Tell with samples in the store. Jewish scrappers that means you too because Chanukah starts 21st of December.
