The November Challenge Winner is....

WOW - It's happened again. We have a tie! This month our challenge focused on 'You'. Each participant was asked to list 10 things about themselves as well as being provided with an assortment of supplies. Five people returned their completed layout for judging and from the entries two really stood out, creating a tie for first place. Congratulations to Daniella G. and Lynn R. - their layouts were both fantastic and we couldn't pick one over the other. Daniella and Lynn will both be awarded a $50.00 Gift Certificate to the store. More CHA Goodies have arrived

This past week we have been inundated with boxes from our UPS Guy Joe. In an earlier post we mentioned all our goodies from 7 Gypsies - the Binderie is here, SEI, Creative Imaginations, Tapestry, Tattered Angels and Quickutz plus our shopping bags. Yes, our shopping bags are finally here, and the good news is we are NOT dicontinuing our "return a bag get a punch" program. Have you seen Michelle Van Etten's layout on display in the store? She's coming to teach this incredible layout as well as a mini album September 11th (Friday) and 12th (Saturday). We finally feel that the store remodel is complete. All the painting and trimwork are complete and we're just putting up the finishing touches. If you have't been to the store recently, you're in for a surprise. We've got a brand new look!

Our July monthly challenge contestants were provided a kit loaded with chipboard. Naomi C. was the winner and WOW did she get really creative using the Bazzill chipboard chips. June Challenge Entries

Here are the June scrapbook challenge entries. The theme this month was Ready for Rub-ons and each contestant was given a set of alphabet rub-ons, a set of numerals and some rub-on elements along with other products and a sketch they were asked to loosely follow. Each of the entries were truly inspiring and the rub-ons were creatively incorporated in their pages. We still have a few kits available for just $5.00. Even though this month's challenge is over, you can still use the kit and these layouts as your guide and create your own fabulous layout or some cards.

June is here

Where has this year gone? We're already in June and that means the year is half over. As the saying goes the older you get the faster the years go by. It's all good though because that means we've been busy filling our shelves with new products, creating scrapbook layouts and mini albums and planning special monthly events all for you. Included in those special events is our Monthly Scapbook Callenge. May's challenge was titled "April Showers bring May Flowers" and once again we had a sell out month. Many of the challengers were quite busy with the Memorial Day holiday and the end of school so we only had 5 entries returned for judging. What great odds for a chance at a $50.00 gift card! We selected Eva C. as our challenge winner. Her layout was truly stunning and many customers were inspired by her design and execution. Here are pictures of all the entries:

Speaking of time passing, we realized that we never posted pictures of our National Scrapbooking Day crop. The post was created but never got posted. The ladies that joined us for the day had a great time and went home with armfuls of prizes and giveaways. All the croppers were asking when our next big crop would be, which by the way, will be our Scrappink Charity Crop at the end of September. Look for more info about it coming this August.

As for what's happening this month, did you hear? We're having a storewide sale tomorrow. It's been a while since we last blogged so this post will hopefully prove to not only be informative but useful.

In case you haven't heard, National Scrapbook Day is just around the corner. Here are a few ideas to make your day PERFECT...
1. Early to bed and early to rise! Nothing like added energy to get through the day! Our customers are known to line up early for a great goodie bag.
2. Don't worry about the family - Have the hubby takes the kids for the day which includes: all kids sports whether it be a practice, game or both, birthday parties and then an afternoon spent at Chuck E. Cheese.
3. Hubby then continues into the wee hours of the evening, including making meals for the kids and having a sleepover for all the kids. This includes all the children of your scrap buddies. After all the two of you do need to spend bonding time together.
4. For those of you without kids - sending your hubby away for the weekend of fishing, camping or a favorite sports event is genius ~ you can get the bags in the house before he see's the evidence! This will even give you a few extra hours to do a few layouts!
