June is here

Where has this year gone? We're already in June and that means the year is half over. As the saying goes the older you get the faster the years go by. It's all good though because that means we've been busy filling our shelves with new products, creating scrapbook layouts and mini albums and planning special monthly events all for you. Included in those special events is our Monthly Scapbook Callenge. May's challenge was titled "April Showers bring May Flowers" and once again we had a sell out month. Many of the challengers were quite busy with the Memorial Day holiday and the end of school so we only had 5 entries returned for judging. What great odds for a chance at a $50.00 gift card! We selected Eva C. as our challenge winner. Her layout was truly stunning and many customers were inspired by her design and execution. Here are pictures of all the entries:

Speaking of time passing, we realized that we never posted pictures of our National Scrapbooking Day crop. The post was created but never got posted. The ladies that joined us for the day had a great time and went home with armfuls of prizes and giveaways. All the croppers were asking when our next big crop would be, which by the way, will be our Scrappink Charity Crop at the end of September. Look for more info about it coming this August.

As for what's happening this month, did you hear? We're having a storewide sale tomorrow. It's been a while since we last blogged so this post will hopefully prove to not only be informative but useful.

In case you haven't heard, National Scrapbook Day is just around the corner. Here are a few ideas to make your day PERFECT...
1. Early to bed and early to rise! Nothing like added energy to get through the day! Our customers are known to line up early for a great goodie bag.
2. Don't worry about the family - Have the hubby takes the kids for the day which includes: all kids sports whether it be a practice, game or both, birthday parties and then an afternoon spent at Chuck E. Cheese.
3. Hubby then continues into the wee hours of the evening, including making meals for the kids and having a sleepover for all the kids. This includes all the children of your scrap buddies. After all the two of you do need to spend bonding time together.
4. For those of you without kids - sending your hubby away for the weekend of fishing, camping or a favorite sports event is genius ~ you can get the bags in the house before he see's the evidence! This will even give you a few extra hours to do a few layouts!
